Nancy Anderson-Bierma,
LAc, MOm, is a licensed acupuncturist with a master’s
degree in Oriental medicine. She is a faculty
clinician at Highland Natural Care Center and
is a clinical supervisor in the Oriental medicine
teaching clinics. Anderson-Bierma received her
Oriental medicine degree from the Minnesota Institute
of Acupuncture and Herbal Studies in 1998 and
received her master’s degree from the Minnesota
College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in
2001. She is also a diplomate of acupuncture (DiplAc).
“It is my belief that the more people understand
this valuable form of medicine, the more the community
will embrace and utilize it. It is an ancient
and beautiful form of medicine that improves patients'
health and cuts down on their long-term health
care costs."
Anderson-Bierma also has a degree in music and
is a professional jazz pianist. Her other interests
include her family, cats, traveling, making jewelry,
reading, and developing her various artistic interests.
