Mark McKenzie, MOm,
LAc, is a licensed acupuncturist and Oriental
medicine practitioner at the Bloomington Natural
Care Center and the dean of the Minnesota College
of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MCAOM)
at Northwestern. He graduated in 1999 from
the Minnesota Institute for Acupuncture and Herbal
Studies, MCAOM’s predecessor, and then
attained a master’s degree in Oriental
medicine from MCAOM in 2002. He received his
bachelor’s degree from Augustana College
(SD) in 1982 and became a nationally-certified
massage therapist in 1994.
In addition to his
duties at Northwestern, Mark is active with many
of the national acupuncture organizations. He
currently serves as a Commissioner on the Accreditation
Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine
as well as serving on the NCCAOM Job Task Force
and the AAAOM Herbal Medicine Committee Task
Force. He
continues to be active with the CCAOM after stepping off the Executive Committee,
most recently as Vice-President of the Council. |
