Carissa Nunes has worked as the Senior Patient Services Coordinator at the Burnsville Massage Therapy Teaching Clinic since 2006. She has five years of experience working in health care. As the Senior Patient Services Coordinator, Carissa supervises the clinic’s receptionists and supports the educational clinical experience of the student interns as well as the individual massage clinic supervisors to ensure that patient health care needs are met.

Because of the crucial role of the patient services staff in the Burnsville Massage Therapy Teaching Clinic, Carissa plays an important part in the clinic’s goal of being a center of excellence for patient care, student education and customer service. The clinic is dedicated to providing its patients with optimal health and wellness services and its student interns with superior clinical training.

Carissa has a bachelor’s degree in holistic nutrition from Clayton College of Natural Health, where she graduated with honors. She is currently working on a master’s degree in holistic nutrition.

Besides working at the Massage Clinic, Carissa is also a realtor. She spends her free time with her closest friends, family and 7-year-old boxer named Chloe. Carissa’s hobbies include sports, nutrition, helping animals and traveling.
