| University
Health Services (UHS) is committed to providing high-quality,
affordable health care services for members of the Northwestern
community. Because UHS serves as a teaching clinic,
health care is provided by student interns, closely
monitored by licensed doctors of chiropractic, licensed
acupuncturists, and professional massage therapists,
who are experienced members of the University Health
Services teaching faculty.
University Health Services is located
primarily in the DeRusha Clinical Education Center
where chiropractic and massage therapy services are
provided. Patients seeking acupuncture or Oriental
medicine services are treated in the Edith Davis Teaching
Clinic, which is the student clinic of the Minnesota
College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.

Services Fee Structure
Due to compliance regulations, University Health
Services cannot provide services to:
- Individuals who are
enrolled in Medicare or Medical Assistance;
- Students and employees
whose health problem is related to a vehicle accident or
a work-related injury.
Although University Health Services
is a teaching clinic, students and employees can request
direct care from one of the members of the UHS chiropractic
faculty at no charge. Dependents of students and employees
can also request direct care from UHS chiropractic
faculty at a charge of $5 per visit. Chiropractic care
by Northwestern faculty clinicians at any of the three
University public clinics is available to employees,
students, and their dependents at fee-for-service rates.
Call the University clinic nearest you for current
rates: Bloomington Natural
Care Center, or The
Natural Care Center at Woodwinds.
If a student, employee, or their dependent prefers
direct care from a member of the acupuncture and Oriental
medicine clinic faculty, the patient will be referred
to the Bloomington Natural
Care Center or The
Natural Care Center at Woodwinds and services will be billed
at the fee-for-service rate.
For more information on Employee Benefits, call the Human
Resources Office at Northwestern at (952) 888-4777, ext.
