Sign up to volunteer today!

Mark your calendars for Tuesday, June 25, for the annual Northwestern appreciation and service day. In support of the University’s commitment to community engagement, Northwestern dedicates one morning a year to group volunteerism in the local community. Classes are canceled, clinics are closed, and employees get paid time to participate.

Students, staff and faculty from Northwestern will team up to volunteer at a dozen organizations and locations in the community, followed by a barbecue on campus and an afternoon of fun and games. You won’t want to miss the festivities this year, which include a dunk tank and live music by popular Northwestern student band, The Nodes.

Volunteer locations with openings remaining include:

  • High school physicals & combine
  • Pillsbury House
  • The Aliveness Project
  • Washburn Elementary
  • Neighborhood Service
  • Cornerstone
  • Edina Care & Rehab Center
  • Salvation Army/Harbor Light Center
  • H.O.M.E.
  • UHS clinic
  • Bloomington Schools Food Drive

If you haven’t signed up yet for a service opportunity, sign-ups are in the foyer daily from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. now through May 31.
