Northwestern Elects Two New Board Members

New board members get acquainted with campus.
Northwestern Health Sciences University recently elected two members to its Board of Trustees. Brent Wilde joined the Board in January 2014, and Rick Long was elected in March 2014. Both board members are committed to being engaged with the Northwestern campus community. Wilde visited campus on April 7, and Long will visit on April 11.
Brent Wilde is the chief executive officer of Kidney Specialists of Minnesota, the largest nephrology practice in the Twin Cities and surrounding communities. Previously, Wilde was senior vice president and chief financial officer of University of Minnesota Physicians. He has also held executive positions at Emergency Physicians, PA; NovoLogix; Fairview Health Services and PreferredOne Management Company.
Wilde holds a master of business administration degree in new venture management/entrepreneurship from the University of St. Thomas. He is highly skilled in strategic and financial planning, creating high performing teams, and process improvement.
Rick Long is Chief Operating Officer for Center for Diagnostic Imaging (CDI). He joined CDI in 2004 as vice president of client services/market development, and was named Minnesota’s regional vice president of operations and business development in 2005; senior vice president of market operations in 2010; and COO in 2011. As COO, Long has responsibility for all market operations and development across the 25 states in which Insight Imaging and CDI operate. Prior to joining CDI, he was the Upper Midwest region manager for General Electric.
Long holds a B.B.A. from St. Mary’s University in Minnesota. He has more than 20 years of market and business development experience in the healthcare industry.
