A new series at Northwestern investigates issues important to integrative and complementary healthcare professionals.

Hoping to spark engaging conversation, a new series at Northwestern will investigate issues important to integrative and complementary healthcare professionals. The Conversations on Professionalism series is hosted by the Center for Healthcare Innovation and Policy (CHIP) and Student Senate.

The first session will be held Oct. 17 from 4 – 5:30 p.m. in the cafeteria. “Professional Identity: Honoring the Past, Innovating the Future” will explore how CAM professions evolve to meet the demands of a changing healthcare climate while preserving what makes each “unique.” Students, faculty and administration are welcome. Wine & hors d’oeuvres will be served.

Future topics include:

  • Personal Philosophy vs. Scope of Practice  ~ Winter 2012
  • In Defense of CAM: what is the appropriate role of research? ~ Summer 2012
