Employee Giving Campaign "Every GIVE Counts" kick off.

Employee giving campaign

Northwestern’s Employee Giving Campaign, Every GIVE Counts, kicked off today with a pancake breakfast in the cafeteria. Administrative leaders served up flapjacks to staff, faculty and students in the first of several campaign events.

The Every GIVE Counts campaign is focusing on three projects: enhancements to the University grounds, such as a gazebo and/or walking path; renovations to create a faculty lounge; a United Way option and the University Capital Campaign. The campaign is striving for 35 percent participation from staff and faculty.

All employees are encouraged to stop by one - or all – of the kick-off events to pick up a pledge card. Pledged contributions will begin January 2012 and can be made through payroll deduction.

For more information contact Vanessa Feils, development officer, at ext. 340.

Common Campaign Questions:

Q: Is it correct thatmy current payroll deduction/s will end in a few months, and I need to re-sign up for continued deductions?

A: As of December 31st of this year, we will zero out any giving currently beingaccomplished through payroll deduction. Pledges for the current campaign willthen take effect the following day, January 1st, 2012.So please complete and submit a new pledge card sometime in the next couple of weeks andreturn to one of the campaign events or the development office.

Moving forward we will conduct a new Employee Giving Campaign every year as a way of saying thank you for past donations and to collect pledges for the next giving cycle. We hope this willkeep the giving process simple and transparent.

Q: What is the Balloon Gram event?

A: The Balloon Gram event will be set up in the foyer from 11-1 p.m. this Wednesday! You can purchase a BALLOON & attach a note and your gram/s will be hand delivered to the person of your choice. This event will be run by students and all proceeds will go to student senate.

A big part of this campaign is bringing awareness to giving – beyond us! This is a fun way to get the campus involved & spread kindness through personal messages! Spread your LOVE.

Don’t forget to pick-up or drop-off your pledge cards at any event!
