Annual Alumni Golf Tournament Provides a Day of Fun on the Fairways

Posted on June 19, 2009

The weather was beautiful for the 31st annual John B. Wolfe Alumni Golf Tournament held by Northwestern Health Sciences University. Approximately 125 students, alumni, families, friends, and colleagues teed up for the event, which took place at Tartan Park Golf Course in Lake Elmo, Minn., on June 18, 2009.

The event is presented each year in memory of John B. Wolfe, DC, founder of Northwestern. According to Debbie Peterson, director of alumni, development, and career services, the golf outing provides the opportunity for alumni to get together and enjoy a day of socializing with friends, colleagues, and families. “It’s a fun day of golf, the price is affordable, and there are many prizes with lunch and dinner provided,” she says.

“The event went really well and everyone had a great time,” Peterson notes. She added that the success of the event was largely because of the sponsors who joined the players on the course and provided balls, tees, beverages, etc. Every player received a pair of Peak Vision sunglasses in the style of their choosing.

Todd Crabtree, DC, JD, (’82), the University’s planned giving officer, was the emcee for the event. Various hole contests were held throughout the tournament. Contests and winners included:
