Career Day Gives Prospective Students an Up-Close View of Northwestern
Posted on Oct. 9, 2009
Northwestern Health Sciences University will host its annual Career Day on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009. This event is geared toward prospective students and guests, who come to campus to learn more about the educational opportunities offered at Northwestern, and to explore the potential careers available to Northwestern graduates.
“This is good way to introduce potential students to Northwestern,” says Bill Kuehl, BA, director of admissions. “Whether they are already considering one of our programs, or are in the earlier stages of deciding on a career path, they will get a feel for what Northwestern has to offer in terms of academic programs and campus life.”
The students and their guests are treated to breakfast, with opening remarks from Mark Zeigler, DC, president; as well as the deans of each academic program. Student Ambassadors offer a guided campus tour, with a few designated "tour stops" where students and guests can meet faculty and see a short classroom presentation. The day wraps up with an opportunity to talk to staff from each program, as well as representatives from the admissions and financial aid departments.
The admissions staff is expecting approximately 45 students to attend the 2009 Career Day. If you know of anyone interested in learning about our programs or a career in natural health care, you can find more information on Northwestern's Career Day here, or contact the admissions office to register by calling (952) 888-4777, ext. 409.
