Northwestern Plays Iowa State on Sunday in Rematch
Iowa State came to town ranked in the top 10 in the American Collegiate Hockey Association Pacific Region and sporting a 10-3 season record. Northwestern Will Host First Annual Edith Davis Seminar Series
The Minnesota College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MCAOM) at Northwestern Health Sciences University will introduce the Edith Davis Seminar Series on Jan. 30, 2010. The Northwestern Health Sciences University men’s club basketball team, DC 2 B, beat Team Wotczak, 58-52 in overtime on Jan. 26, pushing their record in the St. Louis Park Men’s League to 6-0. Northwestern Hosts Iowa State in Thursday and Sunday Contests
The Naturals face a big test this Thursday (Jan. 28) at Bloomington Ice Gardens at 10 p.m. and on Sunday, Jan. 31, at 12:15 p.m. at Northeast Ice Arena in Minneapolis when Iowa State motors into town for a pair of ACHA games. They play in the North Central Collegiate Conference, which Northwestern has applied to join next season, and are ranked in the top 10 in the region. Big Brothers Big Sisters offers Northwestern Health Sciences University students the opportunity to spend an hour a week mentoring a student at neighboring Washburn Elementary School, in Bloomington, Minn. Through the mentorship program, Northwestern students spend their lunch hour playing games, reading, or simply spending time with a young student. Web Redevelopment and Rebranding Projects are Well Underway
The redevelopment of the Northwestern Health Sciences University website is well underway, and on track to launch mid-year. Closely tied to the website redevelopment is a tandem initiative to redefine the Northwestern brand. The University is working with a web design firm, NewCity, on concepting a new color palette and new institutional mark. The rebranding will be reflected in all of Northwestern’s communication materials. »MORE

Student Orientation Concludes with a Grand Finale

Northwestern Reaches Out to Senior Citizens
The University will offer strengthening classes in 2010 to senior citizens through a program called Silver Sneakers. The program is designed as a comprehensive older-adult physical activity program that addresses the needs of the Medicare population. Participants have the opportunity to take classes and/or use workout facilities, depending on the location.
