It’s Not Too Late To Sign Up for Make A Difference Day
Posted on Oct. 30, 2009
The deadline to sign up for Make A Difference Day is fast approaching. Nov. 2, 2009 will be the last day for students, faculty and staff to sign up to participate in this campus-wide service event. On Make A Difference Day, Nov. 7, 2009, groups of Northwestern Health Sciences University students, faculty, staff, and their family and friends will go out into the Bloomington community and rake the yards of senior citizens in need of help.
There is still a big need for volunteers to participate in the event. “We would like to be able to rake at least five yards in the community,” said Ryan Chapman, community relations coordinator. “Sadly, we will have to cancel the event if we do not have at least four more groups of five to 10 people sign up.”
For more information or if you would like to sign up please contact Chapman at rchapman@nwhealth.edu. You do not need to have a group to sign up. Individuals who sign up can be placed in an already existing group.
