The Value of Demographic Factors in Opening a Successful Practice: Part II, Choice not Chance – The Locus Map County and Zip Code Ranking CD-ROM
The Locus Map county and zip code CD-ROM is an expanded Excel file developed by Business Information Technology (BIT), a product of the Chiromap. It allows the graduate to find the highest potential counties, then zip codes in the United States while ranking the seven to eight essential factors that make up these high potential sites. These factors are sorted primarily by the chiropractic ideal population, ages 24-55, the actual number of chiropractors, the population density of the counties, the household ownership, and the percentage of females. After you have ranked your state’s counties, then find those counties in the zip code file and make your determination. The same factors are found in both files, except the population density is not available for zip codes. Your next task is to rank the factors in the counties you have found to make a final determination. This ranking procedure will be covered in a further Locus Update.
This is a fantastic tool because not only can you see the location of the counties on the Chiromap, but you can now statistically rank the various qualities of these counties as you compare them to one another. This assists you to make a clear choice as you find your dream location.
