Pop-A-Lock Saves Students from Standing Out in the Cold
Posted on Nov. 6, 2009
Sitting on the side of Interstate 494 in your broken-down car during the first blizzard of the winter season is a great time to wish that you had the Pop-A-Lock phone number in your cell phone. Especially since Pop-A-Lock offers roadside assistance and car door unlocking at a discounted rate for Northwestern students, staff and faculty.
Through an arrangement with Pop-A-Lock, students, staff and faculty receive up to $30 off of tire change, car lockout, fuel delivery or jump start services. Students, staff and faculty can also receive a 10 percent discount on all locksmith services such as residential lock picks or changes and replacement residential and automobile keys. Discounts will apply both on and off campus with school identification.
Pop-A-Lock was created in 1991 by two retired police officers. Today, the company prides itself on well-trained employees who provide efficient and friendly service around the clock seven days a week. Pop-A-Lock serves the Twin Cities, most of the surrounding suburbs, and many locations around the nation. The company also started the Emergency Door Unlocking program designed to free any child accidentally locked in a car for no charge to the driver.
If you find yourself stranded, you can reach Pop-A-Lock at (612) 331-3093 or (952) 922-8863 or find out more information at http://www.popalock.com.
If you are on campus, contact Kevin Wolpern, director of physical facilities, or the security guard in the evening at ext. 232.
