A Dream Becomes Reality with Opening of Integrity Management Smart Center
Posted on Oct. 23, 2009
A dream three years in the making was realized as the Integrity Management Smart Center at Northwestern Health Sciences University was dedicated in a ceremony on Oct. 21, 2009. The newly constructed videoconferencing center was created with a $500,000 donation from Integrity Management.
Mark Zeigler, DC, Northwestern’s president, recalled in his opening remarks, “Three years ago, Keith Maule, the president of Integrity Management, and I talked about how we could advance the Career Services Center to provide the best possible service to our alumni, and to set our students up for success. We had a dream of creating a premier learning environment. Today we’re celebrating the result of that dream, the Integrity Management Smart Center.”
The Integrity Management Smart Center is a state-of-the-art videoconferencing center that will provide opportunities to enhance all learning at Northwestern. “The possibilities are endless,” noted Dr. Zeigler. “We hope to use this Center in many ways, to help students and faculty connect with others around the world to teach and to learn.”
The room seats 123, and features complete videoconferencing capabilities, including two 8-foot wide flat screen monitors. Each desk space features individual laptop workstations wired for electricity, WiFi access, and ergonomic seating.
“Integrity Management is proud to support and be a part of the Northwestern academic family,” said Maule. “I want to help make sure that chiropractic students get the finest education, and create the best possible practices. That will have a domino effect, widening the circle of awareness for chiropractic. Together we can do great things.”
Debbie Peterson, executive director of alumni, development and career services, also thanked Integrity Management. “They are a great resource for both students and alumni,” she said. “We are happy to have them as a partner, and appreciate their contribution for this classroom, and their ongoing efforts to enhance the offerings in the Career Services Center.”
Emphasizing the need for partners such as Integrity Management, Dr. Zeigler commented, “Now more than ever, it is important for the University to partner with other companies. Partnerships such as these make our institution stronger.”
