Vendor Day Helps Prepare Students for the Future

Posted on Nov. 3, 2009

Northwestern Health Sciences University is hosting its annual Vendor Day, Nov. 5, 2009. Vendor Day gives students the opportunity to meet with and learn about potential vendors that they will encounter in their field. More than 60 exhibitors will display their products in the Northwestern main foyer, cafeteria and hallway leading to the bookstore. The event is from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is open to students from all programs.

“We are hoping that most students will attend the event, and visit at least half the vendors,” said Wendy Ruchti, program coordinator for alumni, development and career services. To achieve that goal, career development has created a prize card that students can pick up at the career services booth in the foyer before the event. Each vendor will sign the prize card after meeting the student. Full cards with at least 28 signatures are entered in a prize drawing. Matt Wurgler

This is the 19th year that Northwestern has hosted this event. “Vendor Day is intended to prepare the students for a future in their field,” said Ruchti. “It is important that they meet the exhibitors that they will need in the working world.” Many of Northwestern’s corporate partners will be in attendance.
