Biography

Special Interests

  • Geriatrics
  • Chronic disease

I am a doctor of chiropractic at the Pillsbury House Integrated Health Clinic and an associate professor at Northwestern Health Sciences University. Helping patients complements my research and teaching interests. My focus is on improving the delivery of chiropractic care for the aged and those with chronic diseases. My clinical practice is guided by my experience and the best available evidence.

My experience includes establishing a chiropractic clinic at an eldercare facility. I represent the chiropractic profession at the Minnesota Area Geriatric Education Consortium, sponsored by the University of Minnesota and funded by the Health Services and Resources Administration. I have also served on a committee to develop a graduate level geriatric/gerontology program for doctors of chiropractic.

In addition, I have been active in the process to establish new and effective chiropractic techniques. I have assessed cervical spine function using biomechanical and clinical factors, and studied the effectiveness of chiropractic management of patients affected by wrist and hand pain.

I have a special interest in chiropractic techniques such as Diversified Methods and Instrument-Assisted Methods, including use of the Activator and other devices for patient care.
