Purpose

The University Planning Team is the primary institutional body responsible for addressing the planning needs of the institution. It is chaired by the President or designee (Associate Vice President of Institutional Effectiveness), and participates in the governance of the University in an advisory capacity. The committee serves both at the request of the President, and independently submits reports and recommendations to the President for consideration by the University Cabinet.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Serving as the University's strategic planning body.

2. Representing the interests and recommendations of the entire campus community.

3. Advising the President on issues having an impact on the growth and vitality of the University.

4. Providing coordination, collaboration and communication across the University departments.

5. Providing a forum for direct communication between the President and the University community regarding matters of relevance and concern to the University and University community.
