RCS will bill auto insurance with open claims, Preferred One (Health Service Management) and Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Minnesota. All other services will be billed and/or prepaid by the referring doctor. The referring doctor's office is responsible for obtaining any prior authorizations and/or referrals and for collecting any co-payments or deductibles as required by a third party payer. In order to submit claims, all information must be completed. If information is missing the referring doctor will be billed directly, and NWHSU will not later bill a third party. RCS will not submit to Medical Assistance or Medicare, which do not currently cover this service. In cases of Medical Assistance or other coverage, the referring doctor will be billed directly. Discounted prices apply when payment via check accompanies the films or is made via credit card. Bills must be paid within 30 days. Any bills outstanding after 90 days will be sent to collections. If a referring doctor's office needs assistance in billing for radiology services, RCS will offer any assistance possible.
