Research and Rehab Clinic
The purpose of our clinic is to provide care to patients who participate in our research studies.
If you need care, but are unable or don’t wish to take part in one of our studies, you can seek care at another one of Northwestern’s clinic locations.
You do not need a physician’s referral to participate in a research study. However, you must have the type of health problem our researchers are studying.
Find out more about the health problems we are currently studying and see if you qualify.
Length of appointments
Your first visit typically lasts 2-3 hours. Follow-up appointment times vary depending on which study you participate in.
The first visit
At your first visit, we provide you with all the information you need to decide if you would like to be part of our research studies. We also do a thorough evaluation of your health problem.
- Any prescription medications, over the counter medication, or supplements
- Recent medical records, such as X-rays, MRI’s and reports. If you are unsure whether to bring certain records, please call us at 952-885-5406.
- Your own t-shirt and shorts if you wish. Otherwise a gown and/or shorts will be provided for you.
