What We Do

Research Services is the administrative office within the University responsible for:

  • Providing pre-award services for sponsored projects (e.g., proposal development, subrecipient arrangements, proposal submissions)
  • Facilitating and monitoring awards to the campus for support of the faculty research and other sponsored projects
  • Ensuring campus compliance with federal, state, and University regulations pertaining to research administration
  • Coordinating federally-mandated oversight functions (e.g., Northwestern's Institutional Review Board, Data Safety and Monitoring, Financial Conflict of Interest)
