Innovative Research Fellowship Training Program
In its new strategic plan, the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM) highlights the importance of improving the capacity to carry out rigorous research in complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) and the necessity of having CAM practitioners taking part in the process We couldn't agree more. That is why Northwestern created one of the first intensive research fellowship training programs in the country that is sponsored by a CAM institution.
Our goal is to mentor and train talented CAM professionals who are ready to devote their careers to advancing CAM science, and play a pivotal part in advancing our nation's research agenda. With three fellows currently enrolled - two doctors of chiropractic and one acupuncture and Oriental Medicine practitioner - we are well on the way to ensuring that Northwestern sustains one of the most successful CAM research programs in the country. Our most sincere thanks to those donors who have supported this innovative program.
