Charge
Review and recommend policies and procedures
for a safe and secure work place within the University.
Review safety program and ensure compliance. Review
inspection and investigation records to ensure appropriate
action is taken.
Review and recommend policies and procedures for workplace
emergencies and coordinate testing of emergency procedures,
in collaboration with the Crisis Management Team.
Review work injury and illness records and incidents
resulting in work-related injuries and illnesses. Recommend
plans for reducing risks identified.
Review complaints regarding safety or health hazards,
conduct inspections in response to complaints and recommend
plans for controlling hazards or preventing problems.
Monitor University compliance with Campus Security
regulations.
Facilitate safety, security, communication and training.
Develop and assess periodic safety inspections in
collaboration with Clinic Administrator and University
Department Directors.
Develop, implement and assess safety program orientation
for all new employees.
