Cancer and Massage Therapy is a course designed to prepare the student to deliver massage therapy to with patients at various stages of cancer treatment, from early diagnosis to advanced stages. The course will consist of a 16-hour didactic portion, which will cover the basics of working with clients with cancer including contraindications, precautions, benefits, and psychological components. This will be followed up by a 22-hour clinical rotation at an outpatient cancer treatment center.
