Currently Teaching (2014-2015)

At Northwestern, I draw from many years of field experience to provide unique perspectives in learning for my students. I am inspired to connect with my students with warmth and compassion to help them find their niche in the world of therapeutic massage. As one of two massage instructors in the country teaching Evidence Informed Practice, I help our future massage therapists to develop critical thinking skills that are important in health care and applicable in every day life as well.

I come to teaching with a broad foundation of knowledge of the human body and healing work - as a massage therapist and craniosacral therapist since 1998, a doctor of chiropractic since 2008, and an acupuncturist since 2012. As a lifelong learner, I am now working toward my master's degree in acupuncture to further broaden my thinking in the healing arts. As my passion is in patient care and healing, I enjoy my small private integrative practice in uptown Minneapolis, MN.
