Summer Science Academy promises the most unique 5 days of hands-on learning,
interactive science activities and fun – at no cost! Students selected will be
energized, motivated and inspired to learn.
Learning is Fun!
Summer Science Academy is an amazing learning adventure. Students learn all kinds of cool things about the health sciences - from using a microscope to reading X-rays, analyzing blood, making vitamins and much more.
Program Overview
50 students entering 9th grade are selected for this 4-year annual summer program. Students learn from experienced teachers and are mentored by Northwestern students.
Curriculum Overview
Find out what students learn from year-to-year: from how the heart, lungs and muscles work to chemistry, physics, genetics, first aid, CPR, nutrition and environmental health.
Science Academy is free!
The program, bus transportation and meals are provided at no cost due to the generous support of our sponsors.
