Details

  • Pick up your cap and gown in the University Bookstore on the morning of rehearsal - Friday, April 4 before 11:00 a.m.
  • Bring your cap and gown to rehearsal for the class photo. Wear proper attire for the photo (i.e. no blue jeans or tennis shoes).
  • Take your cap and gown home - press the gown if needed. Bring your cap and gown with you on Friday evening for the graduation ceremony at the Roy Wilkins Auditorium.
  • If you received a federal loan, you are required to complete online exit counseling. The Office of Financial Aid will email you one month prior to graduation to complete.

Graduation ceremony - schedule and details

5:30 p.m.-5:45 p.m.

Arrive and go to Lecture Room 28 to get dressed in your cap, hood and ironed gown.
Guests may go directly to the auditorium.

6:15 p.m.

Line up. Remain quiet and listen for your name to be called. Check the other students in line next to you to be sure that everyone is in order.
Enter the auditorium in line. Pick up a program on your way into the auditorium.

6:30 p.m.- 8:00 p.m.

Graduation ceremony - lasts until approximately 8:00 p.m.

After ceremony
8:00 p.m.

You must return your cap, gown and hood to Lecture Room 28. Pick up your diploma.

Reception
8:00 p.m.-9:30 p.m.

A reception will be held in Cafeteria at Northwestern Health Sciences University immediately following the ceremony.
