Currently Teaching (2014-2015)
I have always had an interest in locomotion and movement. During childhood, I explored different dance modalities, new exercise trends and the unique ways our bodies move. This led me into yoga and the investigation into the impact movement has on human health and well being.
I taught yoga and guided clients through post-therapy rehabilitation before beginning my graduate work in biomechanics and neural control at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. After graduation, I worked in movement disorder research at the University of Minnesota and began teaching biomechanics at Northwestern Health Sciences University. Currently I work in research at Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota, while also teaching biomechanics at Northwestern.
