I am a doctor of chiropractic, associate professor and coordinator of chiropractic clinical education in University Health Services at Northwestern Health Sciences University.

While working primarily with trimester six through nine chiropractic interns, I am able to draw on the clinical experience I have gained from caring for patients in a number of different clinical settings over the past three decades. In each, I have found it most rewarding helping to guide students to greater competence and confidence in their abilities to provide quality patient care. I help mold, monitor and assess their progress as they demonstrate the practical application of the procedures, techniques and methods they have learned at Northwestern. My focus is to help them become more proficient in the areas of hands-on spinal and extremity chiropractic manipulative therapy and manual soft tissue techniques.

The approach I model for my students is one that meets the needs of patients through evidence-informed, integrated clinical practices and procedures of evaluation and treatment - while encouraging patients to become actively involved as partners in all aspects of their health and well-being. I try to impress upon my interns and patients that our role is to help resolve the patient’s presenting problem as efficiently and thoroughly as possible through gentle but correct application of the most current treatment protocols. I strive to empower patients with knowledge and at-home procedures they can apply themselves in making lifestyle changes and informed healthcare decisions.
