Users of the Northwestern Health Sciences University online
discussion boards take responsibility for postings under
their identification and use the information on the boards
at their own risk. The University takes no responsibility
for the content or opinions posted on the discussion boards.
Please note that some of the University boards may be public.
That means people not affiliated with the University may
read them. Post personal details and contact information
at your own risk.
The University reserves the right to remove any postings,
in whole or in part, that are in violation of the discussion
board policy. Users of this service agree to hold harmless
Northwestern Health Sciences University against all claims
and expenses, including legal fees, arising out of the use
of this service.
The online discussion board policy may be revised at any
time. Please check this page regularly for the latest policy
revisions.
General Rules and Etiquette:
- Unprofessional and Threatening Postings. Users
are expected to communicate in a professional manner. Unprofessional,
disrespectful or threatening communication may result in
the suspension of the user’s discussion board account.
Obscene, racist, sexually explicit or defaming language
is not allowed and will be removed without prior notice.
Suspension of an account may occur without prior notice.
- Multiple and Off-Topic Postings. Posting that
are not related to the topic or posted multiple times may
be removed.
- Solicitations. Solicitations or commercial advertisements
are prohibited. However, users are permitted to post announcements
and ads in the Classifieds section of the board.
- Copyright. Users may not use the discussion board
to post a message that infringes copyright, trademark,
patent, or other intellectual property law. Posting of
articles, graphics, lyrics, recipes, etc., without prior
written permission from the copyright holder are prohibited.
- Privacy. We discourage users from posting of
phone numbers, addresses, social security numbers or any
other private information.
- Screening of Messages. The University does not
screen messages before they are posted. However, we do
reserve the right to remove messages that violate University
policies.
- Other Policies. In addition, students, faculty
and staff agree to abide by the University’s Acceptable
Use of Computers, Networks, Telecommunications, and Information
Systems Technology Policy.
- Reporting Violations of the Policy. We appreciate
your cooperation in pointing out any message that violates
any of the above guidelines by sending an email to admin@nwhealth.edu.
The identity of the individuals reporting those violations
will be kept confidential.
- Disciplinary Action. Violations of this policy
will be handled through the University disciplinary process.
