Marie Kolo, MOm, LAc, DiplAc, is a licensed acupuncturist and faculty clinician at the Natural Care Center at Woodwinds. She is currently completing an acupuncture fellowship at Woodwinds Hospital and maintains a private clinical practice called Points for Life.
In 2007 Kolo earned her master’s degree in acupuncture and Oriental medicine from Northwestern Health Sciences University’s Minnesota College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (Bloomington, Minn.) She earned her bachelor of science degree in 2004 from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire with a major in biology and minor in pre-professional health sciences. Kolo is also certified in Spring Forest Qigong level one, and a member of the American Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.
Kolo’s clinical experience in an integrative health care setting has allowed her to collaborate with a variety of health care professionals. Through her experience, Kolo says she has witnessed the powerful effects that acupuncture and Oriental medicine can have when used in conjunction with other health care specialties. “I have seen that patients heal better and faster with an integrative approach to health care.” |
