Paul Ratté, ND, a naturopathic practitioner at the Natural Care Center at Woodwinds, is an authority on functional medicine, a science-based health care approach that improves physiological function and restores health.

Paul creates personalized wellness programs for his clients that prioritize their health concerns and reflect their commitment to change. He believes it is not enough to "treat" disease with natural medicine, as optimal health is the proper integration of diet, exercise, stress management, and nutritional supplementation. Symptom management is important, but not at the expense of avoiding the true cause of a condition.

Paul graduated from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, with a degree in communication studies before completing his doctor of naturopathic medicine at the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, Oregon in 1997. His clinical experience includes the Infinite Health Healing Center in Maplewood; the Grand Forks Naturopathic Clinic in Grand Forks, North Dakota, and the Center of Natural Healing Arts in Alexandria, Minnesota. He is a passionate proponent of integrated health care and has experience collaborating with medical professionals to provide the best care for his clients.

Paul has conducted clinical research with the Functional Medicine Research Center located in Gig Harbor, Washington. He is a member of the Institute of Functional Medicine; the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians; the Minnesota Association of Naturopathic Physicians; and is a founding member of PATH (Providing Alternatives Towards Health), a health-education company. As president of Health Potentials, LLC, he helped create 4 Weeks to Wellness, a lifestyle-education program designed to teach the foundations of optimal health.
