I am a nationally certified massage therapist at the Natural Care Center at Woodwinds, a clinic of Northwestern Health Science University. I am also a clinical supervisor in the University teaching clinics. I have been a teaching assistant, co-taught courses in rehabilitative massage, and been a massage therapist on a National Institutes of Health (NIH)-funded research study completed by the Wolfe-Harris Center for Clinical Studies at Northwestern.
As a student, I was an intern at Abbott Northwestern Hospital’s Institute for Health and Healing. Additionally, I was actively involved with the development of Pillsbury House Integrative Health Clinic, in which both medical students and complementary and alternative medicine students provide care to a vibrant but underserved community in south Minneapolis.
I am trained in rehabilitative massage, relaxation massage, Trigger Point Therapy, cross-fiber friction, fascial release and oncology massage. I have certification in pregnancy and post-natal massage. I have been trained in the first two levels of craniosacral therapy from the Upledger Institute. I am a member of the American Massage Therapy Association.
I work with clients to determine the most effective therapeutic approach for their particular situation and goals. I love assisting clients find better health through massage therapy in an integrative health care clinic.
