Undergraduate and PBPH COVID-19 Summer Update

Flexible design, exceptional educational experience

We are thrilled that you are considering taking the next step of your professional education at Northwestern Health Sciences University. We know pursuing your new career during an uncertain time can be a challenge, and we are committed to ensuring this will not compromise your education. That’s our promise to you.

NWHSU’s Summer Undergraduate and PBPH Term Will Be Online and On Campus

Because of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, to maximize learning and minimize health risks, the summer PBPH courses will be offered in a hybrid model. This means that much teaching and learning will be delivered online with strategic hands-on learning saved for on-campus experiences.

On-campus labs and hands-on classes will follow expert guidance and will comply with MN’s Stay Safe Plans regarding personal precautions such as mask wearing and social distancing to ensure the safety of our students, faculty and staff.

Flexibility for all Students: Online-Only Option

If taking all classes fully online this summer is a better fit, we can accommodate you. We encourage you to take the in-person labs if you are able, but can work with your individual needs. Medical, dental, physician’s assistant, and professional schools are accepting online courses during the pandemic and we now offer this online option because this will not negatively impact your application. Our admissions counselors will be happy to talk through this in greater detail with you.

Rest assured that the high quality education for which NWHSU is known will continue during our use of a hybrid model. During the past few months, our faculty have been hard at work discovering new and innovative ways of teaching remotely that enhance learning.
