23535:BPF3 CULTURE AND CHIROPRACTIC

This course will cover the influence on culture on individual’s and systems, and the impact on health care. Course objectives: Students will be able to: Define cultural competence and cultural humility; Perform a cultural self-assessment; Describe the impact of stereotyping on medical decision making; Describe the factors underlying health disparities; Use national data to describe the impact of race, ethnicity, ad culture on health care access and outcomes; Survey the health practices of different cultures; Assess the culture of select health professions (chiropractic, nursing, acupuncture, medicine); Describe the value proposition of the DC degree within the health care environment; Describe the professional identity of the doctored of Chiropractic. Pre-requisites: Completion of T2 Courses
