Return to Hip
Relatively subtle patchy sclerosis of the left femoral head if closely observed. Now go and observe the lumbar region and try to find two other somewhat atypical, but pertinent, findings. There is an interesting artifact in the region of L5 that appears as an inverted "Y" shaped netting. This stent is placed in the distal abdominal aorta and iliac bifurcation as a blood clot "trap". The stent should give a clue to the other finding. Just to the reading right (the patient's left) of the L4 vertebral body is a curvilinear opacity representing an aortic anuerysm.
