Auricular Acupuncture Part 1 and 2
Would you like to expand your auricular acupuncture skills? In this hands-on workshop we will explore the auricular microsystem, its origins, its history and how to quickly treat many common and uncommon conditions.
Unlike acupuncture, where active and inactive points are used, the auricular system is more of an "on or off" system where only active points are treated. You will learn how to detect these points, how to group these points and how to use them.
We will cover psychological conditions such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, and stress. Also we will cover musculoskeletal conditions, visceral problems and such problems as insomnia, vertigo, and various addictions.
Auricular Acupuncture Part 1: Sat, Nov 10, 2018, 9am-6pm
Auricular History, Ear Anatomy, Microsystem Acupuncture, Treatment of Addictions, Pain, Anxiety, Stress Reduction, Insomnia and an introduction to the French Auricular System
This interesting workshop will trace the ancient history of Auricular Acupuncture from its humble beginnings in ancient Egypt to its advancement in France, Germany, and China. We will look at several models of the ear and compare and contrast the French and Chinese Auricular Homunculi.
After review of the anatomy of the ear and a discussion of homunculi and fractals, we will focus on several protocols for lumbar pain, cervicalgia, addictions including stop smoking, food and obesity.
The practical and hands-on aspect of the class will also cover protocols for insomnia, addictions, stress reduction, specific treatments for cervical, thoracic and lumbar pain. We will also delve into treatments for stress reduction, anxiety and depression.
Auricular Acupuncture Part 2: Sun, Nov 11, 2018, 9am-6pm
Nogier's 3 phases, Pain Reduction, Ear Geometry and Lasers
This workshop will cover "Battlefield Acupuncture" techniques for immediate pain reduction. Understand how to use Nogier and Bahr's 3 auricular phases for the treatment of pain that is acute, chronic and chronic with degenerative conditions.
We will work on advanced pain treatments using ear geometry and the combined ear, body points and electro-acupuncture. We will focus more on the limbic system, addiction, the pleasure and reward centers of the brain and specific psychological problems. A brief introduction to auricular laser treatments will be given so you can work painlessly on children, the elderly or sensitive patients.
