Prerequisite: 500 hours of massage training

This course serves as an overview of the skills and knowledge required for a massage therapist to successfully work with medically complex clients in diverse environments.  Students will learn about hospital-based massage, oncology massage, and masage for the aging population. 

In addition, this course will provide students with an understanding of hospice and palliative care, common medications, common contraindications, mobility adaptations, and the unique body mechanics required to work around a hospital bed or wheel chair.
