A Compendium of Federally Qualified Health Center Experiences: The Connecticut Experiences
James Lehman , DC, DABCO, FACO, MBA

Following the invitation to integrate chiropractic services into a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Connecticut, a pilot study to treat adult patients with chronic pain was launched to determine if the chiropractic services would be acceptable to both patients with chronic pain and primary care providers.

As a result of this study, the FQHC petitioned HRSA to expand the scope of chiropractic services and reimbursement, and a board-certified chiropractic specialist provided chiropractic services, clinical education, and research activities.
