Microsoft Advantage Program

Students, Faculty, and Staff at Northwestern Health Sciences will be able to install Microsoft Office software for free on their personal computers through the Microsoft Advantage program. Install the free software!

The program provides access to Office 365, a full version of Office, including:

  • Word
  • PowerPoint
  • Excel
  • Outlook
  • …and more!

Students can install the software on up to five computers, including Windows and Mac.
Students have access to Office Apps as part of the OneDrive (1tb of online storage).

Students also access Office mobile applications on iPhones, Android, and Windows phones.

The software has the same features and functions as other versions of Office and can be used offline; however, students must connect to the Internet once every 30 days to verify they are still eligible for the program.

The Student Advantage program is being offered through our Microsoft Office 365 accounts.

Download and Install Office 365 ProPlus

  • Go to mail.nwhealth.edu 
  • Log in using your student email address (typically firstmiddleint.lastname@nwhealth.edu.edu – For Example: JADoe@nwhealth.edu) and password

How it Works

  • Office 365 is available to students enrolled for at least one credit at NWHSU.
  • Each subscription license allows you to run Office 365 on up to 5 devices – Mac, PC, or mobile (iOS, Android, and Windows Phone).
  • Office 365 and can be used offline; however, students must connect to the Internet once every 30 days to verify they are still eligible for the program.

Getting Started

  • Locate the App launcher (icon looks like a waffle) on the left-hand side of the screen on click on it
  • Click on Office 365 (in blue font color) just to the right of the App launcher
  • Locate the Install Office button on the right-hand side of the screen and click on it and select Office 365 apps
  • Follow the prompts

Important: When logging in to Office 365 for the first time, click the OneDrive link on the top blue menu bar to unlock your 1 TB of cloud storage.
