Students, Faculty, and Staff at Northwestern Health Scinces will be able to install Microsoft Office software for free on their personal computers through the Microsoft Advantage program. Install the free software Soon!

The program provides access to Office 365 ProPlus, a full version of Office, including:

  • Word
  • PowerPoint
  • Excel
  • Outlook
  • …and more!

Students can install the software on up to five computers, including Windows and Mac.
Students have access to Office Apps as part of the OneDrive (1tb of online storage). More info…

Students also access Office mobile applications on iPhones, Android, and Windows phones.

The software has the same features and functions as other versions of Office and can be used offline; however, students must connect to the Internet once every 30 days to verify they are still eligible for the program.

The Student Advantage program is being offered through our Microsoft Office 365 accounts.

Download and Install Office 365 ProPlus

  1. Go to http://mail.nwhealth.edu
  2. Log in using your student email address (typically firstmiddleint.lastname@nwhealth.edu.edu - For Example: JADoe@nwhealth.edu) and password
  3. Click on the gear icon   in the upper right corner, and then select Office 365 settings
  4. Click Software in the left menu
  5. Select your desired Language
  6. If you are installing Office for Windows, Microsoft recommends using the 32-bit installation
  7. Click Install to download and install the latest version of Office

If your computer is not compatible with the latest version of Office, you can choose to select the previous version at the bottom of the screen in step 5.

 How it Works

  • Office 365 Pro Plus is available to students enrolled for at least one credit at the College.
  • Each subscription license allows you to run Office 365 Pro Plus on up to 5 devices - Mac, PC, or mobile (iOS, Android, and Windows Phone).
  • Office 365 and can be used offline; however, students must connect to the Internet once every 30 days to verify they are still eligible for the program.

 Getting Started

 Office 365 provides a web-based portal where you can install Office 365 Pro Plus. Keep in mind that you have to be a local administrator on a computer to install Office 365 Pro Plus.

  1. Go to: Coming Soon 
  2. Log in using your NWHSU email address and password
  3. Click on the gear icon in the upper right corner, and then select Office 365 settings
  4. Click Software in the left menu
  5. Select your desired Language
  6. If you are installing Office for Windows, Microsoft recommends using the 32-bit installation
  7. Click Install to download and install the latest version of Office

Important: When logging in to Office 365 for the first time, click the OneDrive link on the top blue menu bar to unlock your 1 TB of cloud storage.
