I am an assistant professor in the Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Program. I am also a supervising faculty clinician in the University’s teaching clinics. My education in Chinese medicine at the New England School of Acupuncture included in-depth training in both Traditional Chinese Medicine and Japanese Classical Acupuncture including Japanese Meridian Therapy and Yoshio Manaka’s Yin-Yang Balancing Method and Toyo Hari Acupuncture.

I love the simple wisdom of Chinese medicine that offers so many profound insights into how to heal and maintain a healthy mind, body and spirit.

My own practice and teaching have evolved as I continue to learn from some of the many branches of East Asian medicine that have grown out of the common root of the ancient classics of Chinese medicine. I find the practice of Vipassana (insight) meditation, yoga and qi gong to be helpful in my personal as well as my professional life.

In addition to Traditional Chinese Medicine and Japanese Classical Acupuncture, I have incorporated applied channel theory of Chinese Medicine, I Ching Acupuncture (Balance Method) and Master Tong’s Acupuncture into my private practice, which I have maintained in the Twin Cities since 2000. I currently have a successful private practice in northeast Minneapolis where I am operating a community style acupuncture clinic.
