Dr. Emily Tweed
As the Vice President of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management, I develop and coordinate university services that enhance your educational and student life experience.
We are a small institution, but we have the services and support you will need to be a successful student. While your academic life will challenge you in ways that you may feel are beyond your ability, I can promise that our Office of Student Affairs will be at your side during this journey.
We will help you with study skills, tutoring, disability services, personal counseling and assistance with any concern that you may have about your educational experience. My job is to be your advocate, ensure that you are assisted and supported through your academic program, and provide you with an outstanding student life experience while you are here.
The university also offers rich opportunities for leadership and learning outside of the classroom through our many student clubs and organizations. These clubs are created and led by students and include academic, social, service, and athletics. Our Student Senate has student representatives from all of our academic programs, and they assist student organizations in providing events and opportunities that enable students to interact, learn, and collaborate with each other.
We have spaces around campus created specifically for enhancing student life. Our Student Organization Center was created to offer a space for student leaders to meet, work, and collaborate. Our Fitness Center offers state-of-the-art workout equipment and our pool is an additional place to exercise or unwind. We also have quiet lounging areas for studying or even an occasional nap between classes.
You will find that your involvement in these and other activities will help you maintain a sense of balance, and provide a little fun, as you navigate through your program.
Please come and visit with us in the Office of Student Affairs. I look forward to meeting you.
