Dr. Curran Dougherty is a chiropractor who has proudly served the Bloomington community and surrounding areas since 2018.
He is excited to continue building relationships with patients of all backgrounds and helping them stay active, healthy, and engaged in their daily lives. Dr. Dougherty also performs DOT physicals as a Certified Medical Examiner through the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.
He takes a hands-on, individualized approach to care, focusing on understanding each patient’s concerns, goals, and lifestyle. From there, he develops practical treatment plans designed to help patients move better, feel better, and return to the activities that matter most to them. With experience in an integrative clinical setting, Dr. Dougherty values collaboration and works alongside other healthcare providers to ensure well-rounded, effective care. As a former collegiate swimmer at University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point, he has a strong appreciation for working with athletes and active individuals, while welcoming patients of all ages and activity levels.
Dr. Dougherty focuses on treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions involving the spine and extremities. His care often combines hands-on treatment, movement and exercise guidance, and education to help patients not only recover from pain but also stay healthy and active long term. He also practices with a trauma-informed approach, recognizing that past experiences can influence how patients experience healthcare.
I grew up in Hibbing, Minnesota and enjoy staying active and getting outdoors year-round, whether that’s skiing in the winter or kayaking in the warmer months. Outside of the clinic, I enjoy working out, cooking, playing video games, and exploring local breweries around the Twin Cities. I also love traveling, especially when it means spending time with family. At home, I’m kept busy by my dog, Beemo, and my cat, Finn.
