Believing in the Investment
This is an investment in the future of natural health care.
Dr. Chuck Sawyer wants to keep the cost of a quality education as low as possible for students, because they’ll eventually join him as colleagues in natural health care. “I’m a regular contributor because I feel an obligation to do my part to alleviate the financial burden on students.”
As senior vice president, Dr. Sawyer says, “I know the value of the academic programs that we offer and what it takes to keep them viable, including our experienced and committed faculty. I also know firsthand how well we manage our fiscal and human resources, so I know that my donation is a wise investment.”
Dr. Sawyer feels his financial donations fulfill a personal obligation. “The students walking our halls will become the natural healthcare providers that we will be working with as colleagues. As educators, we owe them the best preparation we can provide. That requires resources.”
As a university leader, Dr. Sawyer hopes to inspire other employees to give. “I’m glad to make regular contributions through payroll deduction because an investment in Northwestern is an investment in the future of natural health care.”
Spending his entire professional life as a practitioner, teacher and leader, Dr. Sawyer says giving to the University is an easy choice. “Donors usually give to organizations they have confidence in and can identify with. I believe in Northwestern because of the quality of the healthcare providers we produce, year after year.”
