Additional Financial Aid Information

Financial aid covers much more than tuition. Our scholarships, grants, and loans help you fully fund your student experience. Funds can be used to cover:

Tuition and fees normally assessed by a student carrying the same academic workload
Allowance for books, supplies, transportation and miscellaneous personal expenses
Allowance for food and housing
Allowance for dependent care costs for students with dependents
Allowance for one-time direct costs of obtaining a first professional license or certificate for students who are enrolled in a program that requires such professional licensure or certification.

Outlined above are estimates for indirect costs of attendance per trimester, which are not paid to NWHSU. These costs are used as a component to assist you with calculating your eligibility for financial aid. NWHSU encourages its potential students to create a monthly budget as trimester costs may vary by student and program and may help provide a more detailed outlook on financial factors outside of direct education expenses.
