About the Wolfe-Harris Center for Clinical Studies
Northwestern Health Sciences University recognizes the importance of clinical research and its role in assessing treatment and diagnostic methods used by healthcare professionals. We have taken the lead among complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) institutions by committing the necessary resources to build the critical research infrastructure needed to conduct high quality CAM clinical research.
Since 1991, the Wolfe-Harris Center for Clinical Studies has served as the CAM clinical research division at Northwestern. Our focus is on low back, neck and headache conditions which represent the conditions most commonly treated by CAM providers. To date, we have received more than $22 million dollars to conduct research that shapes the way the world views CAM approaches to care.
