Office 365 Mobile Setup

Explore the Office 365 Mobile Setup. Office 365 works with a variety of devices and browsers. You can view your email through a web browser by going to http://mail.nwhealth.edu or you can configure your device to sync below.

Configuring Your Mobile Device

To configure your mobile device to connect to Office 365, click the link associated with your mobile device below. These links provide information on configuring your device for either Exchange or IMAP, unless otherwise specified.

Basic information for Apple and Android smartphones can be found here:

iOS

  • Open the Settings app
  • Tap Mail, Contacts, and Calendars
  • Tap Add Account
  • Select Microsoft Exchange and then enter the following information:
    • Email:
      • username and email: username@nwhealth.edu
      • Password: your NWHSU network password
  • Tap Next
  • If you are prompted to enter additional information, fill out the fields as listed below – otherwise, skip to step 8:
    • Server: outlook.office365.com
    • Domain: leave this field blank
    • Email:
      • username and email: username@nwhealth.edu
  • Tap Next
  • Select which services you want to sync with your NWHSU account.
  • Warning – if you sync calendars or contacts, you will be asked whether you wish to keep your existing calendars and contacts. If you do not select Keep Contacts or Keep Calendars, the contacts and calendars previously stored on your iOS devices may be permanently erased.
  • Once you have selected the services you want to use, tap Save

Android

Note – connecting your Android device to your Office 365 email account will require you to setup a login pin as well as encryption on your device.

  • Open the Settings app, and under the Accounts section, tap Add account
  • In the Add an account window, select Microsoft Exchange
  • Fill in the following information when prompted:
    • username and email: username@nwhealth.edu
    • Password: your NWHSU network password
  • Tap Next
  • You may be prompted with a Server Settings page. If you do, fill in the following information:
    • Domain\Username:
      • username and email: username@nwhealth.edu
    • Password: your NWHSU network password
    • Server: outlook.office365.com
    • Select Use secure connection (SSL)
  • Tap Next
  • If prompted with a notification about Remote security administration, tap OK
  • On the Account options page, customize settings for email storage and notification to suit your needs, then tap Next
  • On the Your Account is setup page, enter NWHSU or NWhealth for the account name, and then tap Next
  • You may recieve notification from the Mail app that a Security update is required – if so, follow these steps:
    • Tap on the Security update notification to open it
    • On the Security update notification window, tap OK
    • On the Activate device administrator page, tap Activate
