Emily Waitz Joins Minitex Policy Advisory Council
Congratulations to Emily Waitz, MLIS, Director of Library Services. She was appointed to the Minitex Policy Advisory Council. The council advises the Minnesota Office of Higher education and the Minitex Director in the planning, development and evaluation of Minitex programs and services. Emily will be representing private college libraries.
Emily Waitz shares, “Minitex services are vital to our students and faculty, providing the majority of the online research content found through the Greenawalt Library. I am honored to be in a position to protect and support this valuable resource for NWHSU and other private colleges across the state. “

Minitex is a state-funded library organization located at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. They connect libraries, individuals, and institutions with information, ideas and experiences. Their goal is to enrich lives and strengthen community.
Minitex services extend library collections through MNLIINK and Minitex Resource sharing, allowing users to access information regardless of their location. It also offers support for digital collections, cooperative purchasing negotiating, professional development and 24/7 online support for library users.
Funded by the Minnesota Legislature through the Minnesota Office of Higher Education, Minitex serves Minnesota and academic and state government libraries. Minitex also supports libraries in South Dakota, North Dakota, Wisconsin and more.
