Northwestern Health Sciences University Announces Gift to Remodel Central Space in Bloomington Campus

The gift from NutriDyn will renovate its central gathering space to now be called the NutriDyn Foyer

Bloomington, MN  Northwestern Health Sciences University (NWHSU) and NutriDyn of Maple Grove, MN are proud to announce the remodeling and creation of the NutriDyn Foyer on the university’s 25-acre, Bloomington, MN campus.

This central space, adjoining the John B. Wolfe Auditorium, is the gathering space for homecoming, alumni festivities, health care symposia, and events and celebrations for students, faculty, staff and the community.

“We are grateful to NutriDyn for their vision and generosity in helping us revitalize this foyer – essentially our “living room” — which hasn’t been updated since the campus was built in 1962,” says Dr. Deb Bushway, president and chief executive officer of NWHSU.  “This is the most heavily used part of campus where we welcome prospective and current students, alumni, faculty, staff, and health care leaders from around region and the world.  We are excited to see this space come to life and to be able to honor the partnership we have had with NutriDyn for more than 40 years.”

The NutriDyn Foyer will include new seating areas, a sound system, and colorful displays highlighting NWHSU’s history, programs, people, and the future of healthcare.  The displays will be updated regularly.

Over the past 40 years, NutriDyn, a pioneer in science-based, functional nutrition, has supported NWHSU’s mission and community broadly. They have created scholarships for students, established a residency in sports nutrition, invested in student clubs and programs, sponsored educational symposia and events, and are now investing in the campus to make it more welcoming for students and the broader community.

Nico Peterson, co-owner of NutriDyn and son of its founder Dave Peterson, comments, “We so value the long partnership we have had with Northwestern Health Sciences university to advance health care education, research, and practice.  We love being part of this important project which will provide so much benefit to the NWHSU community for decades.”
